Our History
Jack W. Hayhurst was born October 8, 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Henryetta High School in 1976. Jack attended Bethany Nazarene University and Southwestern Assembly of God University before graduating from Dallas Institute of Funeral Services in 1979, with a degree in Mortuary Science and Funeral Service Management.
The Hayhurst family purchased the Marlin Funeral home on April 1, 1984 from James and Evelyn Marlin. Jack is a member of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce and the Broken Arrow Rotary club where he was president in 1989-90.
Jack has been involved in the Miss Broken Arrow Scholarship Pageant since 1989, having served as Master of Ceremonies and Soloist. He is currently on the board of the Miss Broken Arrow Scholarship Pageant and served as chairman of the annual Rooster Day Parade for many years. Jack and his wife Pam have two children, son, Trevor and a daughter, Taylor and four grandchildren. Jack and his family attend The Assembly in Broken Arrow.
