Richard Pennokee

Richard Pennokee was born in Ada, Oklahoma on Tuesday, August 12, 1958 to parents Richmond and Virginia (Wolfe) Pennokee He left our world to be in the presence of his heavenly father on Friday, July 18, 2025 at the age of 66. Richard came from a large family; one of ten children. He was Chebon to family and to his close friends that knew him. He grew up in an era of hard working parents and that family is what is important. He met the former Miss Jana Lankford and the two were engaged and later married in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on April 23 ,1977. Then, they started their own family with four amazing children.Some would say the greatest part of his life was having 4 daughters. He was deeply in love with Jana and their love story was their own and worthy of a soap opera. Richard was totally lost upon her passing April 15, 2023. Before her passing he told her he would be right behind her. They are now reunited once again. Driving was a passion for Richard. Being out on the road for long or short distances gave him a sense of peace.He mimicked that passion into a career as a truck driver. He also taught himself how to work on cars (with the help of his brother).Those skills would lead him to work on vehicles for himself and others. He would always be there to help his daughters and grandkids with any car trouble. His last months were him trying to restore his wife’s car so that his daughters could have. Even in his last days he spent time in his garage trying to get it put together with the help of his nephew. Richard also had a fondness for motorcycles. He treasured his Harley and was proud to ride through town with his biker buddies. He was a football fan, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys and the Oklahoma Sooners. Ah,Poor thing! One of Richard’s favorite pastimes was taking the grandchildren out to eat. He had several eating stops where he frequented so often that the employees knew him by name. Señor Panchos(don panchos),whata burger,50’s dinner, and webber's hamburger were just a few he loved to visit. Let’s not forget his original breakfast place, Golden Coral where he would go on saturday morning and made life long friends.
