Pamela Jane Carrow Cooke was born October 30th, 1957 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Leeman Carrow and Marjorie Patricia York Carrow. She passed from this life when the Lord called her home on Friday, June 12, 2026 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, OK. Pam was 68 years of age. Pam has three sisters and was particularly close to her older brother, Robbie, with whom she played baseball and hide and seek and pretended to fish in the front yard. She started singing in Church as soon as she could carry a tune and won her first blue ribbon award in a city talent contest at the age of five. She graduated from Scott County Central High School as Valedictorian in 1976. She took college classes in Austin, Texas with a straight A average, but dropped out when she injured her back. Pam adored both of her grandmothers and talked lovingly of the lessons learned from them about cooking, cleaning, church, children and life. She married Collin Cooke on January 5th, 1987 in Austin, Texas. To this union, she brought two children from a former marriage – Danny Sherman Cooke and Patricia Louella Cooke – both adopted by Collin. Then Pam and Collin had two children together – Robert Edwin Cook and Constance Grace Cooke. Pam was an enthusiastic wife, mother, homemaker, cook, singer, and quilter. Her favorite job of all time was being a mother, and she loved it. She constantly tried to keep things interesting by planning menus and inventing games. She helped with homework, costumes and music, and never wanted her children to be bored. Pam enjoyed arts and crafts and happily helped her children with every school project. At the time of her death, she had made quilts for most of her family members and still had quilt plans for all the remaining. Pam was an accomplished performer, appearing as a singer and actress in more than 100 performances of the Easter Play “Jesus The Miracle’ in Austin, Texas seen by 150,000+ people over many years. Some attendees later told her that she was the reason they started attending church, which in her mind was the greatest result possible. Pam loved her churches, and was heavily involved in the music and ministry at Promiseland Church in Austin, Texas, and her current church home, Praise Center Ministries in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Pam loved her friends, and treasured her lifelong friendships. She adored playing games and was known to persuade family members to participate and would play card games, board games, and dominoes for hours. She loved fishing. Although she seldom got to go in recent years, she had saved a lot of her dad’s fishing equipment. She was very attached to old collectibles; not only did she have a lot of interesting family keepsakes; she had thousands of pieces of vintage magazine artwork dating back to the 1860’s. Pam loved trying out new recipes on family members, saving the successes and laughing at the flops. She enjoyed getting people to try foods they hadn’t had before, and sometimes liked to withhold the ingredient list till after they had their first bite. Pam is survived by her husband, Collin Cooke, of Tulsa, OK; son, Dan Cooke of Dallas, TX, daughters, Tricia Fox of Buda, TX, and Grace Richter (Tyler) of Goddard, KS. Four grandchildren, Patrick Fox, Ethan Fox, Terran Richter, and Lyla Richter. Three sisters, Connie Sheppard (Harold) of Doniphan, MO; Becky Shipp of Bixby, OK, and Abi Carrow of Bixby, OK. Also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews who loved her dearly. Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Carrow and Pat Carrow, her brother Robbie Carrow, and an infant son Robert Edwin Cooke.
