Kathy Johnson

Kathy Jane Johnson was born in Levelland, Texas on Monday, December 18, 1950 to Olen and Anna (Hartman) Mann. She was one of thirteen children. She came from a hardworking family who picked cotton and built fences. She attended a one room school in Texanna, OK and later would attend school in Checotah, OK. She attended Tulsa Community College for chemistry. She was a workaholic. She worked for Wal-Mart as an accountant, Hilti Industries and ran the plating shop and after retirement, she drove a school bus for special education students at Broken Arrow Public Schools. She never met a stranger and loved to visit with people. She began volunteering occasionally at a food bank to distribute food for the needy. Over her lifetime, she has helped out so many friends and family. She was compassionate when a person was down and out, in turn she would lend a hand if she could. Kathy is a devoted mother and grandmother. She was always their biggest supporter and wasn’t afraid to let you know how she felt about things. She taught her children to always be respectful of the elderly, manners, faithful to God, thankful for what you have and to always love one another. She loved to travel and at a moments notice. During the spring she always planted a huge garden, She didn’t like sitting still and was always on the go or starting projects. She is survived by: Daughter, Tammie White and her husband Chris of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Son, Al Johnson and his wife Sherry of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Son, Joe Johnson and his wife Amy of Webber Falls, Oklahoma. Daughter, Loretta Johnson and her finance Wes Edgar of Warner, OK She had 16 Grandchildren, Jesseca and John Holsinger, Chelsea and Matt Weinkauf, Jenna White, Christopher White, Bradley and August Johnson, Kayley Johnson, Joe Johnson, Jr. and Sandra Johnson , Katelynn Lewis, Emily Lewis, Nathen Lewis, Ava Musil and Landon Wooten. She had 10 Great-Grandchildren, Christian Holsinger, Paul Holsinger, Wyatt Weinkauf, Colt Weinkauf, Miles White,Wyatt Matthews, Allen Johnson, David Johnson, Joe Johnson III, and Tony Johnson Preceded in death by her parents, eleven siblings, three great-grandchildren and a multitude of friends. On Sunday, Februrary 25, 2023, Kathy departed this world and entered the Kingdom of God at the age of 72. There she is made whole, healthy and pain free.
