Donna Dyer

Donna Jean Dyer (née Price) of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025, at the age of 98 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma. Born in Tulsa and raised in Broken Arrow, Donna spent nearly her entire life in the community she loved. At age 91, she moved to an assisted living center in Oklahoma City to be closer to family, and in the months leading up to her passing, she was lovingly cared for in a private home in Moore. Donna married Arthur Horton Dyer, a World War II Army Veteran, in 1945. She took great pride in being a wife, homemaker, and mother to their two children, Marsha and Randy. Many of the family’s happiest memories were made at their property in the Toppers area of Fort Gibson Lake in Wagoner, Oklahoma, where decades of weekends were filled with laughter, togetherness, and the joy of extended family. The couple celebrated their 50 th wedding anniversary just months before Arthur’s passing in 1995. She never remarried. Donna was a lifelong member of Broken Arrow Chapter #140 of the Order of the Eastern Star and a longtime attendee of Broken Arrow Assembly of God. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, elegant beauty, astounding resilience, and her deep love for her family. She is survived by son-in-law, Rodger Bruce of Moore, OK; former daughter-in-law Sharlon Cortes (George); grandchildren, Terrisa Singleton (Chuck Smith) of Norman, OK; Leasa Forbes of Moore, OK; and Jeremy Dyer (Misty) of Broken Arrow, OK; 10 great-grandchildren and their spouses, Thomas Phipps, Catherine Phipps Yore (Mike), Brooke Phipps (Josh Stump), Kimberly Singleton Southwood (Shawn), Mark Forbes, Colin Forbes (Tory), Grace-Anna Forbes, Hope Eliaz Forbes, Logan Dyer (Kylie), and Kalli Dyer; as well as great-great-granddaughter Weslynn Breann Yore, and bonus great-great-grandchildren Wyatt Yore and Aspen Barrett. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur H. Dyer; her children, Marsha Ann Bruce and Randy Arthur Dyer; her parents Robert A. Price and Florence Mackey Price; and her siblings and their spouses, Beulah Davis (Troy), Claude Price, Bonnie Holland (Gerald), Veldon “Tommy” Price (Maxine), and Robert “Bobby” Price (Connie). She was also preceded in death by grandson-in-law David L. Singleton, and former grandsons-in-law Rod L. Phipps and James William “JB” Forbes; and bonus great-granddaughter, Kendra Singleton Barrett (Jesse). A celebration of Donna’s life will be held Monday, December 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. (viewing at 9:00 a.m.) at Hayhurst Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, followed by a graveside service at Park Grove Cemetery. Attendees are invited to wear pink in honor of her favorite color.
