Betty "Jeanne" Antone

Betty Jeanne Antone was born on June 2,1931 in Corpus Christi, Texas, the daughter of John Palmer Usher and Bessie (Hammer) Usher. Jeanne went to school in Pomona, Kansas. She went on to get her Associates degree in Fashion Illustration at Stephens College. She met George H. (Tony) Antone. They fell in love and married on July 14, 1951 in Ottawa, Kansas. Together, they had two daughters and a son; Dana, Toni and Jon. The family relocated to Arkansas in 1959, where they owned and operated a fishing lodge on Bull Shoals Lake for twenty years. After the children were all gone from home, Jeanne and Tony sold the business and moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where Jeanne worked as a sales associate for Dillards for many years. Upon retirement, Jeanne and Tony moved to the family farm in Kansas to care for his mother. After Tony’s passing, Jeanne moved to New Mexico to be near Toni and her family. She lived there for 23 years making numerous friends of all ages. In 2022 she moved to an assisted living facility in the Tulsa area where she lived for 2 years. Most recently, she had lived with her daughter Dana and husband Joseph in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where she enjoyed birdwatching in her special bird garden designed by the family as a Christmas gift. Her white cat, “Kitty” was lately her constant companion. In her spare time Jeanne loved fishing with Tony, spending time at the fishing lodge with friends and going to the beach in Corpus Christi. She also enjoyed painting and using her artistic abilities to create Christmas cards for friends and family. She loved visits from her children and grandchildren. She had a passion for all animals and had many beloved pets throughout her life. She is survived by: Daughters: Dana Watt and Joseph of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma Toni Antone of Los Alamos, New Mexico Son: Jon Antone and Priscilla of Amarillo, Texas Grandchildren: Erin Blanton, Aimee Treece and Shane, Ethan Watt and Lydia, Roxanne Turley and Joe Weiss, Mackenzie Mork, DeNitria Conaway, Tyler Antone Great Grands: Tanner Treece, Taylor Treece, Levi Weiss, and Troy Antone She is preceded by: Her Parents and her Husband, George “Tony” Antone
