Alvis Ray LaCroix was born in Memphis, Tennessee on Sunday, October 16, 1938 to parents, Marvin and Mavis (Turner) LaCroix. He passed from this life on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in Glenpool. The family has entrusted services to Hayhurst Funeral Home. “Ray” as everyone knew him graduated from high school. He then joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country as an aircraft mechanic. He retired from the U.S. Navy as Petty Officer 1st Class. He then met Sharon Tillery and they married in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, on September 14, 2013. Ray was a very quiet man who loved his family dearly and was very patriotic. He was a caretaker at heart. He showed his love for family in the way he attended and engaged with each one of them. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed traveling and the outdoors, as well as, going on cruises. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Judith and his parents. He is survived by, Wife, Sharon LaCroix of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma Daughters, Lisa Totman & Perry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Barbara Foster & David of Lee’s Summit, Missouri Sons, David LaCroix of Broken Arrow Michael Tillery & Angela of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma Nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
