Neva Mae Wilson

June 10, 1936 - April 8, 2022

Neva Mae (Payne) Wilson was born in Mora, New Mexico on Wednesday, June 15, 1936, to Jess and Leona (Bryant) Payne. She passed from this life on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the age of 85 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Neva was one of six children born to Leona. She attended school and grew up in New Mexico along with her siblings, obtaining her GED later in life. She was married to Otis Franklin Wilson for over 50 years until his passing in July 2007. Neva was the owner of 6 Directions Art Gallery in Taos, New Mexico for many years until her retirement, but her greatest joy in life was being a mother to her children, Laura, and Jim. She sewed Barbie clothes and Marching Band outfits for Laura and spent many happy hours taking Jim and his friends fishing. Later in life, her Grandchildren added to that joy. She moved to Broken Arrow seven years ago and was a resident at Tree Tops Apartments until recently when her health declined, and she moved to Franciscan Villa Senior Living in Broken Arrow. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Left to cherish her memory are son, Jim Wilson, and his wife Gabriella of Broken Arrow Daughter, Laura Haskins of Orlando, Florida Brother, Bob Payne of Bloomfield, New Mexico Grandchildren: Matthew Trevathan, Alex Wilson, Rachel Wilson, and Eric Wilson And numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins She was preceded in death by her parents: Jess and Leona Payne; husband: Otis Wilson; beloved sister: Wanda Allcorn; and brothers: Jess, Lynn (Bud), and Lester Ray
