Marcella Hollingsworth Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Marcella May (Barr) Hollingsworth was born Saturday, October 3, 1925 in Putnam, Oklahoma to Ray and Lela (Irvin) Barr. She met her soon to be husband, John Hollingsworth, in 1944 and they married in Redwood City, California on December 6, 1944. Together, they had two daughters, Jan and Marsha. Marcella passed away Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 96. During Marcella’s working years, and before retirement, she was a sales manager for Country Club of Tulsa. She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending her church, Metropolitan Bible Church in Oklahoma City. She was known for sharing the Gospel to anyone who would listen. She was a people person and was highly regarded as a prayer warrior for those she loved. Her outreach even extended to preaching God’s word to those at the senior living center. Marcella was always known for her devoted spirit. She will be dearly missed by those that knew her. She is survived by: Daughters: Jan Dunham and husband, Dennis of Oklahoma City Marsha Barlow and husband, David of Independence, Missouri Grandchildren: Brian Dowler, Anje Dowler, Amy Berridge, Aaron Barlow, Joshua Dunham, Casey Dunham, Brook Dunham Great Grandchildren: Brookes Dowler, Bryt Dowler, Stevie Dowler, Brody Dowler, Josiah Berridge, Cyrus Berridge, Chloe Berridge, Olivia Barlow, Katie Dunham, Abby Dunham, Adam Dunham, Noah Dunham, William Dunham, Maddie Dunham, and Millie Dunham She was preceded in death by: Husband: John Hollingsworth Brother: Randall Barr Parents: Ray and Lela Barr
