Celebrating Judy Elaine Shropshire June 6, 1947-November 24, 2021 ​Judy Elaine Shropshire was born on Friday, June 6, 1947 in Carthage, Missouri into the loving home of Paul and Dorothy (Bench) Major. ​Judy Elaine was a 1965 graduate of Duenweg High School in Duenweg Missouri and graduated from Joplin Business College in 1966. She continued her education at Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Missouri. She met Ted Shropshire at the Duenweg Baptist Church and married her lifelong partner of 55 years on June 24th, 1966. Judy was a devoted homemaker and a successful cosmetologist for Merle Norman Cosmetics for 17 years. The simplest pleasures after retirement were gardening, singing and leading praise and worship in the church, taking care of her animals, creating beautiful handmade cross stich, reading books, and traveling to various countries. Her utmost greatest joy came from spending time with her family and traveling to new and adventurous places. Judy lived in London, England and Marbella, Spain with her husband Ted for several years. When living in the Oklahoma, she enjoyed using her creative cosmetology skills teaching her granddaughters the tricks of her trade. ​ Judy is survived by, Her Husband,​​Ted Shropshire, of the home Daughters,​​​Lori Baker, Tulsa, OK ​​​​Amy Hristov, Broken Arrow, OK Son,​​​​Doug, and wife Mareah Shropshire, Broken Arrow, OK Grandchildren,​​Joshua and Molly, Ariel and Cody, Christopher and ​​​​Brittany, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Jayden, Aubrey, Kristen, ​​​​Abigail, Caleb, Austin, and Andrew. Great Grandson,​​Spencer Sister,​​​​Joyce Major, Joplin, MO ​Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Dorothy Major.
