Gladys Edwards

Gladys Marie Edwards of Broken Arrow, passed away Saturday, April 2 at the age of 90. A funeral service honoring her life will be held 10 am, Thursday, April 7, 2022 at Weer Christian Family Center with burial following at Park Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit Gladys at the funeral home Wednesday, April 6 from 12-8 pm with the family receiving friends from 6-8 pm. Gladys was born Sunday, April 26, 1931 in Broken Arrow to Pete and Cannie (Lenard) Schneider. On September 6, 1952 Gladys married Alfred “A.C.” Edwards in Bentonville, Arkansas and their union was blessed with son Mike and daughter Marilyn. She is a graduate of Broken Arrow High School and returned to the school district to work in food services. She loved watching any sports she could but especially enjoyed her Los Angeles Dodgers, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Oklahoma Sooners. She could often be found enjoying the outdoors and loved fishing and spending time with her family. She was active in her church and loved hosting meals at her home after Sunday service.
