Frenda J. Wallace

Frenda Jean Wallace of Broken Arrow, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at the age of 95. A funeral mass honoring her life will be held 11 am, Wednesday, May 18 at St. Anne Catholic Church. A rosary will be held 7 pm, Tuesday, May 17 at St. Anne Catholic Church. Frenda was born Easter Sunday, April 17, 1927 in Wetonka, South Dakota to James and Mabelle (Sizer) Miller. She grew up on a farm not far from Leola, SD. In grade school she attended a one room school house from 1st-8th grade before graduating from Leola High School. Frenda continued her education and graduated with a business degree from Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD. After graduation she worked at her alma mater in the business office. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and loved traveling to visit them anytime she could. Frenda ran the United Way in Aberdeen, SD for several years before moving to Rochester, MN. She volunteered at Ronald McDonald House and Methodist Hospital at the Mayo Clinic, both in Rochester, Minnesota. Frenda also resided in New York City and New Jersey. While in New York she worked as a legal secretary in Manhattan. Frenda converted to Catholicism on March 5, 1980.
