Anita Simmons Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Anita Kay Simmons was born on Wednesday, July 8, 1953 in Enid, Oklahoma to Hubert Lloyd and Alpha (Marler) Bell. She passed away at her home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Friday, September 3, 2021 at the age of 68. Services are under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home. Anita was a graduate of Enid High School and furthered her education taking some college classes at Tulsa Community College. She married Harry “Pepper” Simmons, Jr. in July of 1970 and they had three wonderful children and three grandchildren. She loved them immensely and took delight in spending time with her family. Anita worked for Jim Glover in the accounting Department for 15 years until her retirement in October of 2020. She enjoyed working there. When work was over, she loved to watch old TV Westerns and reality TV. She also loved a great meal whether it was a steak and baked potato or a huge bowl of pasta. She was easy to please! Anita is survived by, Daughters, Shelli Lewis & Dave of Coweta, Oklahoma Chrystal Casey & Brian of Broke Arrow, Oklahoma Son, Donald Simmons of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Grandchildren, Jake Philpot, Connor Simmons and Brooklyn Simmons She is preceded in death by parents, Hubert Lloyd Bell and Alpha Bell, two brothers, Donald Lee Bell and Lloyd Bell, Jr. and sister, Carol Dean Ryan.
