Al Cooper Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Albert (Al) Dale Cooper was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on Wednesday, August 23, 1944, to Shelby Glen and Ruth Christine (Butler) Cooper. He passed from this life to his eternal home in heaven on Sunday, July 17, 2022, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family at the age of 77. Al was one of three boys born to the Coopers. He was born in Sapulpa and grew up in Blackwell. He fell in love and married Vivian Janzen on August 8, 1975, in Medford, Oklahoma. They moved to Broken Arrow where Al attended Rhema Bible College. The couple had three children. Al enjoyed his work which was primarily in sales. He had a passion for music. He and Vivian sang in a gospel quartet early in their marriage. As their children grew older, the family sang together at various churches and events. He and Vivian were members of The Ridge Church in Broken Arrow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Al’s name to the building fund of The Ridge Church. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Vivian, of the home in Broken Arrow Daughter, Shauna Herrmann and her husband, Jason of Tulsa Son, Justin Wade Cooper and his partner, Chloe Wilson of Tulsa Son, Brandon Cody Cooper, and his wife Carley of Sperry Three Grandchildren: Cooper McCoy Herrmann, Sawyer Marie Herrmann, and Cora Mae Cooper Brother, Shelby Glen Cooper, Jr., and his wife Kim of Ponca City Those who preceded Al in death are his parents, Shelby Glen and Ruth Cooper and one brother, Robert (Bob) Cooper.
