William Allen “Bill” Morse passed away November 19, 2022, aged 88, in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born August 24, 1934 to William O. and Opal Johnson Morse in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the younger of two children. He spent most of his life in the Tulsa area, graduating from Tulsa’s Central High School in 1952, and Oklahoma A&M College in 1957, where he majored in mechanical engineering and was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity. Bill proudly served his country as a Captain in the Army Reserves, often taking fondly of his time spent at Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland or at “summer camp” at Ft. Chaffee. He worked as an engineer for many years after college, before starting a business with two partners as a manufacturer’s representative for industrial process equipment. He was successful in business, and finally enjoyed a well-deserved retirement in 2010. In 1959, he married the first love of his life, Linda Melton. In 1971, tired of city living, they moved to a 60-acre farm east of Broken Arrow, where they raised three children, cattle, chicken, the occasional pig, a horse or two, and several dogs and cats. He enjoyed restoring old cars (a 1953 MG and 1973 Mustang convertible in particular), golfing, fishing, shooting sports, and tinkering in the garage. Linda pre-deceased him in 1988, which led to Bill finding the second love of his life, Connie Trimble Cook, who he married in 1993. They enjoyed traveling and provided amazing family events at which many wonderful memories were made. He was enormously blessed to enjoy the love of these two magnificent women. Pre-deceased by his parents, sister Mary Ann Salter, and stepson Parrish Cook, Bill is survived by his wife Connie; children Mark Morse (Tami), Lynn Lewis (Tom), and Jennifer “Jeep” Krohe (Tim), stepchildren Cristal Roth (Richard), Lesha Benson, and Torsten Cook (Julie), as well as 16 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for Monday, November 28th at 1:00PM at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Viewing will be Sunday, November 27th at Hayhurst Funeral Home from 2-8PM with family receiving visitors from 6-8PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that monetary donations be made in Bill’s name to Alzheimer’s Association in Tulsa, Oklahoma
