Vicki Marston

Vicki LaRue Marston, 71, of Coweta, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 26, 2026. Born on August 21, 1954, in El Dorado, Kansas, she was the daughter of Richard Shockley and Janet Loye (Mathia) O'Bryant. Vicki was raised in Kansas alongside her two sisters and graduated from Pleasanton High School in 1972. She went on to attend Fort Scott Beauty College, where she earned her cosmetology license. Although she was trained as a cosmetologist, her aptitude for numbers and attention to detail led her to a successful banking career that spanned more than 30 years. Throughout those years, she became known as a dependable, caring, and dedicated employee who enjoyed helping others. Vicki met the love of her life, Robert Eugene Marston, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Their friendship blossomed into a lifelong love, and they were married on March 20, 1993, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and making memories. They especially enjoyed traveling in their motor home and camping in the mountains, where they found peace in the beauty of nature. Vicki had a gift for making people feel at home. She loved cooking and baking for those she loved and was especially known for her homemade pies, fluffy biscuits, and delicious chicken-fried steak. Sharing a meal with family was one of her greatest joys. She was an avid reader who could often be found with a good mystery novel in hand. Vicki also had a remarkable green thumb, filling her home with beautiful houseplants and tending a flourishing garden outdoors. She loved spending time outside, especially watching the birds that visited her backyard. Hummingbirds were her favorite, and she found endless joy in watching them gather around the feeders she faithfully kept filled. Above all else, Vicki's greatest joy was her family. She was incredibly proud of her grandchildren and treasured every opportunity to celebrate their lives and accomplishments. She also shared a special bond with her beloved dog, Drago, who was rarely far from her side and brought her comfort and companionship through the years. Vicki will be remembered for her loving heart, quiet strength, generous spirit, and the countless ways she cared for those around her. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Marston of Coweta, Oklahoma; her daughter, Lauren Robertson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her son, Chris Keeney and his wife, Sara, of Orange City, Florida; her cherished grandchildren, Alex Sandoval, Kenzley Robertson, and Wivine Keeney; and her sisters, Anne Locke and her husband, Mark, and Tammy O'Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Janet O'Bryant. Though she will be deeply missed, Vicki leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family. Her memory will live on in every shared meal, every blooming flower, every hummingbird that visits a backyard feeder, and in the hearts of those who were blessed to know and love her.
