Thomas Suber

Thomas Olen Suber was born in Pittsburg, Texas on Saturday, December 19, 1928, the only son along with five sisters to Robert Thomas and Sallie (Seale) Suber. He went to be with Jesus and his’ beloved wife, Sue on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Jennifer and John's, his daughter and son-in-law's home in Tulsa at the age of 91. Tom grew up with his sisters although the six children were 21 years apart. He worked on his parents’ farm in Texas and learned the value of hard work. They raised chickens, and also had mules, cows and hogs. After high school he joined the U.S. Navy and spent the next almost four years serving our country during the Korean war. He met Sue at a church party in the early 1950’s. They married on May 14, 1955 in Achille, Oklahoma and were married nearly 65 years. They moved to Tulsa in 1970 and were active in Carbondale Bible Church and Tulsa Baptist Temple for many years, faithfully serving the Lord together. Tom loved playing dominoes with his family, drinking coffee while reading the newspaper, working sudoku puzzles, gardening, mowing his lawn, visiting his neighbors and reading his Bible. He taught us many valuable life lessons-- how to trust God, love our neighbor, and be there for each other.
