A Funeral Service for Thomas L. Crow has been scheduled for 1:00, Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Woodland Memorial Park Cemetery in Sand Springs, Oklahoma under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home. Thomas (Tom) Lafayette Crow, 86, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus Sunday, October 18, 2015. Tom was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, on July 22, 1929, to James Marion Crow and Dellar (Ledbetter) Crow. After moving to Lake Station on the Sand Springs Line at a young age, Tom attended Sand Springs schools. Tom met the love of his life and married Nancy Pauline Kelley in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on November 25, 1950. Tom would work at several jobs until settling in a career with American National Insurance Company. He worked his way up from a door-to-door insurance salesman to traveling to various offices to help with sales and then settling in as an Assistant District Manager in the Tulsa area. Tom retired from American National after 30 years of dedicated service. Although insurance sales was his job, his passion was preaching the word of God. Early in their marriage, Tom and Nancy accepted the Lord as their savior and he went on to study the scriptures and became a licensed minister with The Assembly of God church. He pastored several small churches in the Tulsa area. He also enjoyed genealogy research and studying his family history. Preceding Tom in death was the love of his life, wife Nancy; his parents, James and Deller Crow; brothers, Orville, Bud and Harold; sisters, Rose Conway, Loreen Wallace and Lucile Webster. He is survived by daughter Janet Briley and husband Jerry of Broken Arrow Oklahoma; grandchildren Jarrod Briley of Vinita, Oklahoma, Jill Amos and husband Russell of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Jeff Briley of Edmond, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Katelyn Briley, Ethan Briley, Xavier Briley, Parker Amos and Hunter Amos; sisters, Gladys Beasley, Iva Sellers and Stella Hall; many other relatives and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made in Tom’s name to Jewish Voice Ministries International, PO Box 31998, Phoenix, AZ 85046.
