Susan Littlefield

Susan Vilendrer Littlefield of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed from this earth surrounded by love on January 20, 2025 to live forever with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born on February 3, 1928 in Kansas City, Missouri to Agnes Haverberg Vilendrer and Frederick Vilendrer. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband of nearly 60 years, Robert George “Bob” Littlefield. At the age of 10 her famly moved to Jackson Heights, New York. She graduated from Adelphi University in June of 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She was life loyal member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and recently received her 75-year pin. On the 9th of September in 1950, she married Robert Littlefield in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His career took the family to various new cities and states over the years. They shared homes in Duluth, Minnesota; Berwyn, Pennsylvania; Denver, Colorado; Tulsa, Oklahoma; Houston, Texas; Upper Saddle River, New Jersey; Vienna, Virginia and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. She found herself busy with church and civic activities in each location. Undoubtedly, the greatest accomplishment of her life was raising her four children and instilling wisdom and love in her precious grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Mary Grierson, Maggie Neal (Buddy), Rob Littlefield (Jim) and John Littlefield (Cheryl). Grandchildren: Nathan Crow, Nicholas Crow (Jess), Lindsay Brown (Rory), Matthew Brown, Jennifer Escamilla, David Neal, Ashlee Dadisman (Alex), Amy Littlefield, Jack Littlefield, Lucy Littlefield and Stella Littlefield. Great-Grandchildren: Royal Crow, Hayden Crow, Camille Crow, Ella Crow, Henry Brown, Rose Brown, Lilien Brown, Grayson Escamilla, Riley Escamilla and Amelia Dadisman. One Great-Great-Grandson, Henry Kent Crow. She spent her life glorifying God and worshipping in various churches as the family was transferred to new cities. She was active in bible studies and prayer groups always covering her friends and family in prayer. In her final years, she enjoyed lifting others up through greeting cards. Sue loved to read, enjoyed knitting and amassed amazing vintage collections from her antique shopping excursions. She was fortunate to have travelled world-wide, often finding treasures to bring home. She had a special love for dogs which led to a wonderful collection of vintage dog portraits. She adored her two precious dogs, Chewy and Sully, and missed them dearly after their deaths. Sue worked her entire life in support of animal welfare. Sue treated others graciously and had a warmth of personality and a beauty of character that was admired by others. She was a mother, a friend, a confidante and an encourager all in one. She had a unique radiance and joy she carried with her each day. Her faith and courage served her well all the days of her life, and she can now rest in the house of the Lord forever. Donations may be made to John 3:16 Mission, Humane Society of Tulsa, or the Benevolent Care Fund at Montereau. Services will be in the Chapel at First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa, Oklahoma at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, February 27, 2025. Services are under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
