A life celebration service honoring his life will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 9 at First Baptist Church, Broken Arrow with burial following at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit Ron at Hayhurst funeral home Monday from 12:00-8:00 P.M. with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Ronald Lee Horn of Broken Arrow went Home to be with The Lord on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at the age of 73. Ron was born Friday, January 7, 1949, in Joplin, Missouri to Arthur and Hazel (Hunley) Horn. He graduated from Riverton High School in Kansas and received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and his master’s degree in computer science from the University of Kansas (KU). He worked as a computer systems analyst at Linde Process Plants, Inc. where he retired. He previously worked for the National Security Agency (NSA) in Washington D.C. On December 26, 1980, Ron married the love of his life, Melody Deatherage Bressman, in Broken Arrow. He loved spending time with his family, camping, fishing, and traveling to the Smoky Mountains, Disney World and going on cruises. He dedicated his entire life to his wife and family. He also delighted in his role as Gramps where he spent countless hours investing in his treasured children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His greatest burden was that his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all of his relatives know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and to enjoy a daily love relationship with Him. When put to the test in his painful cancer journey, he remained devoted in his love for Jesus and saw his suffering as an opportunity to grow closer to Him. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
