Ray Ingram

Ray Aubrey Ingram was born in Vinita, Oklahoma to parents Arch and Verda (Dick) Ingram on Sunday, July 28, 1940. While living with his wife in Catoosa, Oklahoma, he left this old world behind on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the age of 85. One of seven children, Ray grew up in Northeastern Oklahoma. He graduated high school in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, joining the Army not long after and was proud to have served his country well. Ray received a first-place award, and a medal for Good Conduct and Marksmanship with a Rifle. He also completed training in the Chemical Core. After leaving military service, he met a sweet lady by the name of Beverly Jean Crisp and they were married in Locust Grove, Oklahoma on Friday, June 18, 1971. Ray loved his wife, dearly. Being a good husband and provider, he built a career with the City of Tulsa Water Department, and was promoted to Quality Control Inspector. Ray retired after 40 years of service. Ray planned meals and cooked while his wife was still working, before she retired, often making the best Chili. Ray was wonderful at working with his hands, and was very talented as a woodworker. He was often a handyman for anyone who needed it, finding pleasure in helping others. Ray always kept a well-manicured lawn and enjoyed mowing with his John Deere tractor. He was a great gardener relishing in growing all kinds of vegetables every year. He was fond of being outdoors. Some of Ray’s hobbies included fishing, riding four-wheelers, chasing hot air balloons in New Mexico and bowling in a league with Beverly and friends. Music was also a part of his life. He enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and going to bluegrass shows. Ray loved old Gospel songs, and played his guitar in church for many years. Ray and Beverly rode horses and they liked to go on trail-rides together often. He was a man with a variety of interests. Living Family: Wife, Beverly Ingram of Catoosa, Oklahoma Siblings, Glenda Taylor of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bobbie Lamb and husband Donnie of Rose, Oklahoma, Ronnie Ingram of Locust Grove, Oklahoma, Ivan Ingram and wife Terry of Locust Grove Oklahoma. Ray was preceded in death by parents, Arch and Verda Ingram, and siblings, Ruby Ingram and Kay Brooks. There are many extended family members and friends who will cherish fond memories of Ray in their heart.
