Peter Tarasko

Peter Tarasko was born in Toronto, Canada on Sunday, February 1, 1953 to parents Dmytro and Vera (Szkloda) Tarasko. He left Tulsa, Oklahoma to meet Jesus on Saturday July 11, 2026 at the age of 73. One of five children, Peter graduated high school and went on to obtain an associate degree. Along came a sweet young lady, Arja Kymalainen and after some time they decided to unite and start their own family. Peter married Arja on Saturday, November 10, 1979 in Toronto, Canada. Together they built a home with God at the center and shared nearly 47 years of marriage. He loved his family deeply, cared for them faithfully and demonstrated God's love through his strength, generosity, and unwavering devotion. Peter worked as an Industrial Millwright using his skills to provide for his family. He was known as a handyman who could fix just about anything. He never met a stranger, loved people well, and enjoyed traveling throughout the United States with his family. Many treasured family memories were made during vacations spent at the beach and at Disney World in Florida. More than anything else, Peter's life was defined by his love for Jesus and his commitment to serving tbe Lord. Ministry was not just something he did but who he was. Peter lived to advance the Kingdom of God. He was bold in his faith and unashamed to share the Gospel wherever he went. His boldness for Jesus, his unwavering commitment to the Lord, and passion for seeing lives changed by the Gospel leave a lasting legacy for all who knew him.
