Pat Conrad

Patricia Lucille Conrad passed away Friday, February 27, 2026. Whether you knew her as Mom, Sister, Aunt Pat or her favorite name Gogo, you knew one thing; in her presence you knew you were loved and cared for. Throughout her life she was well-known for her devoted service to others, her love for her family, her unwavering faith, and her light-hearted sense of humor. She was a nurturer and a prayer warrior. Patricia Lucille Schmitz Conrad was born in St. Louis, MO March 15, 1940 the second of three daughters to Harry and Gladys Schmitz. The family moved often for Harry’s career settling in Tulsa in 1947. Pat graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1958. After High School, she worked at Harrington’s Department Store before meeting the love of her life Howard Conrad in 1961. She and Howard were married September 17, 1961, and moved to Broken Arrow, OK. They were blessed with four sons Scott, Steve, Shawn, and Stacey. Pat worked many different jobs to help support her family from throwing newspapers to working as an employee of Broken Arrow Public Schools. Her family continued to grow after the boys got married. When the grandchildren came along, she became Gogo to everyone. When the family got together, there was always food, love, laughter, and games. Pat loved being a hostess to her guests and the meals she prepared made sure no one left hungry and there were always a few dessert choices, ice cream being a favorite. Pat and Howard were very involved in their church. Attending First United Methodist before coming to First Church of the Nazarene Broken Arrow in 1982. She loved the Lord and her church. She and her family participated in many mission trips with the Nazarene Church and missions was an area close to her heart. She was an active member of NMI, Nazarene Missions International, and Prime Time ministries of the church and the Northeast District. Pat and her husband Howard celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing. Pat lived her entire life in relationship with her Savior. How precious her homecoming must have been when she met Him face to face. We mourn her loss but celebrate her much deserved heavenly homecoming. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband Howard, and sister Jane Cunningham. Pat leaves behind a legacy of love for the Lord, laughter, and family that includes her son Scott and wife Elizabeth of Broken Arrow; Steve and wife Michelle of Cedar Rapids, IA; Shawn and wife Stephanie of Syracuse, NY; and Stacey and wife Sara of Siloam Springs, AR; grandchildren Emily, Andrew and wife Moriah, Patrick, Phillip, McKinley and husband Blake, Kennedy and husband Ben, Reagan, Rachel and husband Zach, Marcus, Michael, Elliot, and Toriano; and great-grandchildren Kyden, Parker, Kassalyn, Jonathan, and Eleanor; sister Susan Shibley and husband Mike of Sapulpa and several nieces and nephews.
