Lynda Stafford

Services honoring the life of Lynda Stafford will be 1:00 p.m., January 4, 2023 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Park Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit Lynda at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family there to greet visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Lynda was born on Sunday, July 11, 1948, the daughter of John Pershing Woodrow Wilson Berry “Jack” and Betty Lou (Wheeler) Berry. She passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at her home in Terlton, Oklahoma. She was 74 years of age. The former Miss Lynda Sue Berry attended school in Sunray, Texas. She was married to Jerry Wayne Stafford in Siloam Springs, Arkansas on February 9, 1979. Their union was blessed with four children. Lynda was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Lynda was a homemaker that also worked in the Pharmaceutical field and at Home Depot. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing, home projects, sewing, ceramics and gardening, she was very good with her hands and could fix about anything. She never met a stranger, and she was well known for her spunky personality and quick witt. She always had a positive attitude about life, even in the depths of her failing health…she was never a quitter. Her true calling in life was to help other people, as she was very truly a selfless woman. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren…to whom she was affectionately known as “Gran”.
