A Funeral Service for Lincoln Alexander Hendrix has been scheduled for 1:00 PM, Monday, August 3, 2015 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home. Lincoln Alexander Hendrix was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Wednesday, October 22, 2014, the son of Brandon Hendrix and Amber Gergel. He died in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. He was 9 months and 7 days old. Lincoln had a beautiful smile. He loved to eat, especially toilet paper and June bugs. He was very vocal, expressing his wishes. He was a sweet baby who was always happy despite experiencing surgery at the tender age of 2 weeks, and the following chemotherapy in attempts to heal him of cancer. He was a huge joy to everyone he came into contact with, even at the grocery store while shopping with his Nanny Mary, often flirting with people or else giving them a good and loud shout! Of course, he was the sparkle in his mother’s eyes, and the pep in his daddy's step! Mom and Dad loved and co-parented Lincoln so well that most likely he never knew he was being "Co-Parented!" They worked hard at making sure he had equal love and attention from them both and was right at home no matter where he happened to be staying on any certain night. He loved them both tremendously, and it showed! He also loved spending time at Nan-Naw's, where he could get away with sleeping in bed with her, even though Mother insisted he sleep in his crib. Nan-naw was that one grandma that always managed to get away with things like that! Although he surely felt bad inside, he never let it show and he always had a good morning smile for everyone, was always happy, and loved taking naps with Papa Mark.....and boy could they sleep! For such a small little man, he left the biggest impact one could imagine on everyone especially his mom, dad, nanny, papa, and nan-naw! His impact on each of their lives is immeasurable and simple words cannot express the simple pureness of his love for each of them. He will be greatly missed by all.
