LeRoy Ogle

Services honoring the life of LeRoy Nathan Ogle will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel. LeRoy was born on August 4, 1937 in Dawson, Oklahoma to Orville and Lydia (Stout) Ogle. LeRoy passed away at his home on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the age of 80. LeRoy graduated from Broken Arrow High School with the class of 1955. He continued his education at the University of Oklahoma where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy in 1960. LeRoy was owner of Verle Smith’s RX Drugs and practiced pharmacy until 2007. He also participated in numerous other ventures including home building and oil and gas. LeRoy married Elizabeth Gordon and their union was blessed with four children. LeRoy was a loving and devoted husband, father and “Greenpaw.” He loved spending time with his family, especially snow skiing and being on the water at Grand Lake. In 2007 LeRoy was able to realize his lifelong dream of living on Grand Lake. In 2012, he returned to Tulsa to be close to friends and family. LeRoy had many interests including landscaping, home remodeling and deck building. He loved country music and grilling out for his loved ones. He enjoyed motor homes and motor cycles. LeRoy was a member of the Downtown Rotary and a member of Broken Arrow Masonic Lodge # 243, he was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, and was a member of the Akdar Shrine where he was involved with the Royal Order of Jesters. LeRoy was appointed by Governor George Nigh to the State Board on Nursing Homes and he served as a consultant to Surgicare and numerous nursing homes. LeRoy is survived by, Wife, Elizabeth Ogle, Tulsa, OK Children, Deborah Kurin and husband Dorian, Tulsa, OK Leigh Reaves and husband John, Jennifer Allen and husband Steve, Brad Ogle, Grandchildren, Abby Kurin, Claire Reaves, Emily Allen, Avery Allen Sister, Betty Martin, Ft. Gibson, OK Numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Ruby Rinehart, Dorothy Duke and Kay Hughes.
