Kerry Armstrong

Son, brother, uncle, friend -- what a calling Kerry fulfilled during his 57 years. His beautiful soul departed this earth November 13, 2022, when his Savior called him home. He left behind his mother, Nancy, and his four brothers who invite you to celebrate his promotion. Kerry Crawford Armstrong was born January 1, 1965, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to parents Bill and Nancy Armstrong, the fourth of five children. In 1967 he and the family relocated to Columbus, Ohio where he spent most of his childhood. In 1983 he and his family returned to his roots in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he graduated from Victory Christian High School in 1984. He was an active church member of Victory Christian Center for three decades and later attended The Assembly in Broken Arrow. Most importantly, he accepted Jesus as his personal Savior at an early age and faithfully served Him all the days of his life. Kerry worked for QuikTrip and Walmart where providing great customer service was a priority for him. He and his best friend Jeff Cooper shared an interest in Nascar and attended several races together. He was also an avid fan of the OU Sooners football team and often attended games with his brother Kevin. Family and friends from near and far loved his made from scratch lemon meringue pie and his renowned dish “tacos by Kerry.” He was a people person who never met a stranger and could always be found with a smile on his face. Kerry was a living testament of John 15:13- "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” This was most evident in the devotion he had to his family. He committed his lifetime to loving and supporting his parents, caring for them and ensuring no need went unmet. Kerry is survived by his mother, Nancy, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; brother Bob and wife Kim of Bradenton, Florida; brother Kevin and wife Marcy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother Chris and wife Kristie of Mount Vernon, Ohio; brother Corey and wife Gretel of Lake in the Hills, Illinois; nieces/nephews Amanda and husband Tony Espino, Ashley and husband Travis Burns, Tyler, Brittany, Madison, Sterling, Liam and Owen Armstrong; great-nieces/nephews Briana, Levi, and Brooke Espino and Noah Burns; as well as dozens of cousins and other loving family. Armstrong was preceded in death by his father, Bill Armstrong and great-nephew Lucas Espino. The viewing will take place Sunday, November 20, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The funeral service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2022, at Hayhurst Funeral Home in Broken Arrow. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home. The family wishes to thank Saint Francis Hospital and Cancer Center, Senior Suites Healthcare, and Seasons Hospice for their loving care during the last month as well as neighbors and friends. Kerry- thank you for your unwavering commitment to consistently putting the needs of others before your own and for dedicating your life to caring for this family. We’ll see you again in eternity.
