James Edwin Boles was born in Oklahoma City on Saturday, June 29 1940. His parents were May Terrel Boles and Ed Boles. Jim was blessed with 84 years of life and will be greatly missed by family and friends. He passed into the gates of heaven on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Aspen Health in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma after a long health struggle that he managed thru with his strong faith in God. Jim graduated high school and then married his sweetheart, Barbara June Inman. The couple married in the home of Carlos and Rose Inman on March 21, 1958, in Bixby Oklahoma. They made their home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and raised their two children there. Jim worked in the Oil and Gas industry as a Petroleum Engineer, then later he co-owned Tulsa Pro-Quip. He was very devoted to his work career and enjoyed it; he retired at age 59. Jim had many interests throughout his life. Early he enjoyed fishing and watching sports, and later investing; creating a beautiful yard filled with flower gardens and traveling both in the U.S. and internationally with Barbara. Jim “Pa” always spent a lot of time with his two grandchildren attending all their events and sports games. Jim was a long time member, Trustee and active servant in his church, First Methodist Church in Broken Arrow. Jim was a good man and devoted husband, Dad, Pa, Brother and son-in-law. ***On behalf of Jim, please consider donating to the Mission Fund at First Methodist in lieu of flowers, this cause is very dear to both jim and Barbara. Family remaining to cherish his memories include: His wife, Barbara June Boles married to her beloved husband, Jim for 66 years, daughter, Brenda Banfield and son-in-law, Rhett Banfield, and son, Mike Boles. Grandchildren are Rhett Tyler Banfield and Brooke Noelle Banfield Northcutt (spouses, Silvia Torres-Banfield and Nick Northcutt. Great-Grandchild is “precious” Maya Torres-Banfield. Siblings, Don Boles and Linda Boles (spouse, Louise Boles), Brother-in-law, Jerry Inman, wife, Kay Inman). Beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and treasured friends.
