Jeff Gill

Our Beloved Cato Jeffrey “JEFF” Gill of Broken Arrow, went from island paradise here on earth to eternal paradise with his savior Jesus Christ on January 14th 2026. Jeff left this earth doing what he loved, traveling with his beloved wife Brenda, of almost 50 years. He was snorkeling and marveling at God’s creation when HE called him home. Jeff was born on January 13, 1956, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Ben Tom and Helen Gill. Upon graduation from high school he moved to Dallas and attended Dallas Christian College where he met his wife Brenda and received his degree in ministerial studies. He spent his life in Hugoton, Kansas and Beaver, Perkins, and Broken Arrow Oklahoma, sharing the love of Jesus with all he encountered as a minister of the gospel. He also had a reputation for spending time on the golf course and for his ability to fix almost anything or rig it! He loved being G’Pa to his grandkids, singing songs he made up as he went, telling terrible GPa jokes, playing any kind of ball with the kids, attending their activities, reading Bible stories and giving quizzes over FaceTime, and being willing to do all the things G’Pas do. After retiring Jeff made it a priority to travel and visit national parks and longtime friends who no longer lived close by. He thoroughly enjoyed driving all over and admiring God’s handiwork. Jeff truly loved others and loved his family deeply. He leaves behind many who also loved him including his wife Brenda, his son Chad Gill of Broken Arrow, his daughter Christine Hammond and her husband Jeremy of Saint Simons Island Georgia, and His daughter Cassie Gill and her wife Maryruth Diaz of Edmonton, Alberta and 5 beloved grandchildren Caleb, Chloe, Liam, Callie, Colin. He also leaves behind siblings Glenda Walker of Murphreesboro, TN, Anne and husband Willie Getchell of Banning CA, John and wife Barbara Gill of Ardmore OK, James (Jim) and wife Lori Gill of Perkins OK and many more cousins, nieces, nephews and friends who felt like family. Jeff is predeceased by his father Ben Tom Sr., mother Helen West Gill, and siblings Ben Tom Gill Jr., Mary Baber, Louise O’Donnell, Charles Gill, Theodore (Ted) Gill, and George Gill. A Celebration of Life Service for Jeff will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 11:00 am at Northside Christian Church, 1221 N Elm Place in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
