Jack K. Parrott

A funeral service for Jack K. Parrott has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 18, 2015 at Arrow Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Service. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 pm. Jack passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015. He was 77. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on August 28, 1938, Jack was the son of Morris and Onie (Billups) Parrott. Jack graduated from Tulsa Central High School in 1956. He faithfully served his country in the United States Air Force as a Jet Mechanic on B-47 aircraft. On April 5, 1957 Jack married the love of his life, Patsy Joyce Bowden in a Broken Arrow wedding ceremony in her parents’ home. Their union was blessed with one daughter Jacki. Jack was a wonderful loving husband and father. He was employed as a Pressman for Oil and Gas Journal before going on to retire from Penn Well Publishing after 38 years. In recent years, Jack and Pat worked together as licensed real estate agents. Jack enjoyed being outdoors and fishing and hunting. He was an avid Broken Arrow and OU Football fan, never missing a game. Jack was a member of a gospel quartet at Arrow Heights Baptist Church "The Goldtones," member of Senior adult choir and served in his church Arrow Heights Baptist Church as a deacon and as a 7th grade boys SS class teacher for many years. Jack loved singing, especially southern gospel music. Jack was an excellent cook and liked to prepare meals for his friends and family. When he and Pat had free time, they enjoyed going antiquing together and traveling with friends and family. Memorials may be made to the Hospitality House of Tulsa at 1135 S.
