Georgene Grace Powell

Georgene Grace Powell was born on Thursday, April 2, 1931 in Aurora, Nebraska, the daughter of George and Helen (Huenefeld) Campbell. She peacefully entered heaven on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at St. Francis Hospital South in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. She was 92 years of age. The former Miss Georgene Grace Campbell was a 1949 graduate of Aurora Nebraska high school. She attended Central Bible Institute in Springfield, Missouri. She married Rev. Harold Powell on June 1, 1952 in Aurora, Nebraska. Together they had 3 children, Harold Jr., Debbie and Becky. Harold preceded her in death on November 5, 2014. Georgene was the definition of a Pastors wife, always playing a large part in Harold’s ministry, writing and directing church musicals, playing the piano, organ and accordion. She assisted her husband in pastoring churches in Nebraska, Missouri and Oklahoma. They were involved in the founding of Sapulpa Christian School and Sapulpa Christian Daycare. Georgene enjoyed sewing, canning, flowers, birds, painting and working crossword puzzels, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dumond, Sapulpa, OK Grandchildren, Chris and Tara, Ashley and Dustin, Landon and Amy, Alisha and Will, Matt and Cristina, Lynsey and Nathan, Lauren, Nick, Marianela and Ron. Great-Grandchildren, Nate, Andrew, Abi, Derek, Gracelynn, Cruz, Jaxon, Remington, Tia, Kaylea, Gabe and Delan.
