Franklin Jones

With heavy hearts and sadness, Franklin “Frankie” Jones, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, sadly left our world on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the age of 87. His passing has left an enduring mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. Frankie was born to Raymond and Viola Marie Jones on October 14,1936 in Hoyt, Oklahoma. He grew up in a loving family with his mother and seven siblings where he developed deep appreciation for family, faith, and hard work. After graduating from high school, Frankie enlisted in the United States Navy where he proudly served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk. While serving overseas, Frankie met and married the love of his life, Tsuneko (“Sue”) Hamada on May 6, 1958. The love that Frankie and Sue had for each other is beautiful love story that extends over 67 years. They went everywhere together and always holding each other hands up until his passing. Many people would comment on how sweet their love was for each other. Frankie was a doting father of three and was their family’s biggest advocate through his love, support, and guidance. He cherished every moment with his family. Frankie adored his four beautiful grandchildren and five great grandchildren. From his grandkids heart “Papa, was truly the best! A man whose character and kindness set a standard which we all aspired to reach. His welcoming nature and deep love for everyone around him were constants in our lives. Our Papa was a man of faith and integrity, he exemplified what it means to live with purpose and compassion.” Frankie held his faith in high regard, always finding strength through God, and constantly working to spread the word of Christ. His presence was a source of inspiration and strength. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel valued and cherished. We all wanted to make him proud, and in doing so, we became better people ourselves. His memory will forever be a guiding light, reminding us of the importance of love, faith, and kindness. Though we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind—a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering support that will continue to inspire us all. Frankie's legacy will live on through his family and friends. He will be remembered for his love, his laughter, and his unwavering commitment to making the world a better place. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sue Jones; daughter, Ann Perkins; grandchildren, Dena Curtis, Sheena Green, Graham Howard, Lindy Howard-Ordonez; great grandchildren, Adyen Ash, Liam Curtis, and Anniston, Adeline, and Elliana Green; and his sister Betty Wilson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Viola Marie; daughter, Lola Moore, his son, George Jones, and his siblings Joyce Hunsucker, Jerry Jones, Marland Jones, Marvin Jones, Ronnie Jones, and Phyllis Nolen A grave site service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery.
