Don Hail

Frederick Don Hail was born on November 18, 1935, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to Lee Mynatt Hail and Mary Metzger Hail. On March 15, 2026, he went to his Heavenly home, surrounded by those who loved him deeply. Don spent his life in the Broken Arrow area, forming friendships that stretched across decades, some lasting more than 80 years, beginning all the way back in grade school. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he married his first sweetheart, Cathryn Corinne. Together they built a home, traveled, and raised three children, Sherry, Sheila, and Jeff. Their life was filled with shared joy, and they were blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. When Corinne passed into her Heavenly home, God had already prepared another blessing for Don. A lifelong friend, Gloria Bowles Allred, stepped into the role of loving wife and helpmate. Don and Gloria married in October 2010, and for the past 15 years they faithfully supported, encouraged, and cared for one another. He often lovingly referred to her as his tiger with angel wings. By profession, Don was an Insurance Broker, but at heart he was a leader. He served as president of the International Fellowship of Christian Business Men for 25 years and was a member of the first advisory board of Victory Christian Center and was a member for 29 years. He was also active in Full Gospel Business Men’s International, where he served as a local chapter president. Don lived by the motto “too blessed to be stressed,” and he carried that spirit into every interaction. His kindness, prayers, and unwavering faith reflected the love of Jesus to everyone he met. His life was a testimony of Christ’s love, lived out in both word and action. He often said, “It came to pass, but it didn’t come to stay.” Don left a lasting impression everywhere he went, fulfilling his purpose with grace and joy. A good and faithful servant, he is now rejoicing in Heaven, awaiting the day when those he loved will join him in the glory he so often spoke about. His deepest prayer was that all those around him would know Jesus and share eternity with Him.
