Debra Tracy

It is with both sadness and joy, we announce the passing of Debra Ann Tracy on December 15, 2024. Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend peacefully transitioned to heaven surrounded by her husband and children. We are rejoicing that she is in heaven pain free but sad that her time here on earth has ended. Debra was born on August 2, 1957, in Missoula, Montana, to Kenneth and Dorothy Ann Lane. She grew up in Billings, Montana with her sisters Kathy and Nancy. She met her husband Blaine Tracy at Oral Roberts University, and they were married on August 12, 1979, and celebrated 45 years of marriage together. She was a devoted wife to her husband and a caring mother to her children, Tarah, Brianna, and Seth, and heavenly child Joshua. Debra dedicated her life to God and her family. She was a woman of unwavering faith and was a relentless encourager and prayer warrior. She and Blaine were in pastoral ministry for over 30 years ministering to multiple church congregations. Debra also followed in her parent’s footsteps and was an elementary teacher for over 20 years. She was a lifelong learner who loved to read, spend time outside, and enjoyed being with her family. She loved being Nana to her grandson Miller and derived great joy from spending time with him. We are comforted knowing that Debra is now able to spend time with her angel granddaughter Lily. Debra was fiercely loyal to her family and was their confidant, advocate, counselor, and encourager. She was a woman of strong principle, with a strong sense of justice, and believed in treating all people with kindness and dignity. Debra had a natural gift for making people feel seen and special. She was quiet and private, and hated to talk about herself but was equally opinionated, sassy, and strong. Her belief in God guided her through life’s challenges. She courageously fought cancer for 6 years and we celebrate that she is ringing the cancer free bell in heaven. She is survived by her devoted husband, Blaine; her three children, Tarah Tracy, Brianna (Matthew) Neff, Seth (Leslie) Tracy; her grandson, Miller Tracy; sisters, Kathy (Wes) Miller and Nancy (Brad) Rupp, Brother-in-Law Shan (Molly) Tracy and Sister-in-Law Sue Tracy and her nieces and nephews. A celebration of Debra's life will be held on Thursday, January 16th, 2025, at Life Church South Tulsa at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Voices of China and Asia, Tulsa City County Library, or the Gathering Place. Though Debra has physically left us; her spirit, love, and legacy will live on in the hearts of her family forever.
