David Ash

David Earl Ash was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on August 11, 1949 to parents, Homer and Ellen (Hubbard) Ash. He left this world behind from Tulsa, Oklahoma on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the age of 76. David was a Broken Arrow Tiger until he decided his next step was to serve his country in the Vietnam War with the US Army as a Combat Engineer. Later on he met the love of his life who he was able to convince not to go back home to the Pacific Northwest. David (in his plaid pants) & Sonya Mae DeRousse were married in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on Friday, February 20, 1976. They had a houseful of children and David’s legacy lives on through his grandchildren who he loved deeply. Outdoors was where David spent the majority of his time; whether at work or play. He was a highly skilled brick mason by trade. At home, David spent time tending to his garden or enjoying his pool in the summer heat. He loved fishing any chance he got and had a passion for bird hunting and taking care of his dogs. Music brought him joy whether it be listening to it by that pool or going to concerts at Hard Rock. He was a huge Elvis Presley fan and loved to make everyone laugh with his King of Rock and Roll impersonations. He had the kindest heart and most welcoming arms to anyone in need of love and care.
