Carrie M. Mendenhall

Carrie Marie Rosson Mendenhall was born on Wednesday, January 10, 1973 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Gary Dale Rosson and Lucy Marsteller Floyd. Carrie departed this life on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at the age of 44. She was preceded in death by her son, Garryck Mendenhall and father, Gary Rosson. She grew up in Wagoner, Oklahoma and graduated from Wagoner High School in 1991 and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology and Health Sciences from Northeastern State University. She was a member of the Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority. Following College, she worked for the Chili’s Corporation, where she was able to develop wonderful relationships with guests. She had a magnetic personality, never met a stranger and was always there to lend a hand to friends and strangers alike. Carrie married Ernest Mendenhall on June 20, 1998 and their union was blessed with two sons. She adored her family and friends, and spending time with them was her favorite past-time. The Oklahoma Sooners and OKC Thunder were her perfect excuse to bring people together. She also had a gift for gardening and loved to beautify her yard with colorful plants and flowers. Carrie enjoyed Zumba, singing, musicals and playing piano. She was a volunteer at the Epilepsy Foundation of Oklahoma. Carrie was a compassionate person and had a great love for animals. Whether it was saving a stray dog or just watching Animal Planet, she was passionate about keeping dogs out of shelters. Her gentle, loving and selfless nature made her a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. Services honoring Carrie M. Mendenhall will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 7 at First United Methodist, Broken Arrow. Carrie is survived by, husband, Ernie Mendenhall and son Caleb Mendenhall, Broken Arrow, OK, mother Lucy M. Floyd, Broken Arrow, OK, sisters Ashleigh J. Rosson, Broken Arrow, OK and Dr. Heather Remark and husband Dr. Brian Remark, Pearland, TX, Brother Allan R. Jones, Jr and wife Liz Jones, Dallas, GA. Carrie had two nieces, Alyssa Remark, Pearland, TX, Kathryn Forrester, Dallas, GA, and one nephew, James Remark, Pearland, TX. She is also survived by loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends.
