Carole Weygand

Carole Laverna Pollman Weygand, 84, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, a beloved wife, daughter, mother and grandmother, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 14, 2026. Born on February 3, 1942, in Perry Okla to Monzell L. and Ed H. Pollman, she was the beloved daughter, grandchild and niece of her family in those WWII years. She lived a life full of love and devotion to her family, with dedication and service to her church and community. Carole was a graduate of Perry High School 1960 and attended business school in Tulsa. Soon thereafter she met the love of her life, Raymond L Weygand. Married in August 1963, she and Ray celebrated 62 years together. They raised two sons who were active in school, many sports, and especially soccer. Carole was a devoted and very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Broken Arrow. She would regularly help fold the bulletins for Sunday worship and was there for families in their time of need during funeral receptions. Summers, she helped with vacation Bible School, preparing the snacks for the children. Additionally, she helped fund a variety of projects for youth ministry, children’s ministry and the music ministry. She even helped fund some of the exercise equipment for the school. Known for her good cooking, she regularly prepared tasty treats for church functions. Several of her “famous” recipes were published in the church’s cookbook. Most popular were her sausage balls, holiday fudge, and many sweet treats at Christmas. When she was not busy with church events, she enjoyed Ray’s involvement with car racing and car restoration. She was often found at Eddy’s and Bryan’s countless soccer games and any of sports they played. Additionally, she organized the family reunions of her cousins from Kansas, Oklahoma, Ohio, and Alabama, at which times her cooking was very much enjoyed. Carole was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray, and her parents, Monzell and Ed Pollman. She is survived by her two beloved sons, Eddy Wegand and Bryan Wegand; and their wives, Mickie and Kendi. She leaves behind grandson Tate Green and will be missed by her many cousins. Carole’s life will be celebrated at Immanual Lutheran Church, August 21, 2026 at noon. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
