Carole Fyffe

Carole Joyce Fyffe was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday, September 7, 1939, to parents Emil “Pete” Louis and Juanita Faith (Wilson) Petri. She peacefully departed this world in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the age of 85. Joyce graduated from Central High School in Tulsa. After high school, she worked at Saint John’s Hospital in the baby nursery, a job she truly enjoyed. She later transitioned to working in downtown Tulsa with an oil and gas company, where she trained to be an Integrator Operator. In 1959, she married Don Fyffe. They lived in Tulsa for three more years before Don’s job transferred them to Dallas, Texas. Joyce was then a stay-at-home mom until 1967, when she returned to work in the oil and gas industry as an Integrator Operator for Placid Oil in Dallas, where she remained for over 25 years before retiring. Joyce stayed in Dallas until 2006, when she moved back to Tulsa to be closer to her family. Joyce had a gift for hospitality and loved hosting gatherings for family and friends. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed entertaining. Movies, reading, and crossword puzzles were among Joyce’s favorite pastimes. She loved scary movies, romance novels, and mysteries, but she was always on the lookout for a good cookbook to try new recipes. Joyce’s heartfelt cooking brought joy and warmth to all who tasted it. She also had a passion for history books and visiting historical sites. Joyce loved flowers and working in her yard. Throughout her life, Joyce adored dogs and, after retirement, she began dog and cat sitting for friends and family. She especially loved caring for her favorite grand dogs. Joyce’s warm heart, heartfelt cooking, and love for her family and friends will be deeply missed. She is survived by, Daughter, Tami Autry and Mark of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma Grandchildren, Tara Hess and Michael, Amanda Berlin and Blaine, Brianna Butler and David, Shelbi Clausing and Tyler, Marissa Fyffe Great-grandchildren, Ellie Hess, Brodrick Hess, Wyatt Berlin, Theodore Butler, Hudson Clausing, Nora Clausing Preceded in death by parents, Emil “Pete” and Juanita Petri and son, Brad Fyffe, Sister Dorthy Ann White and Bother in Law Raymond White
