Betty A. Waymire

A celebration of the life of Betty Ann Waymire will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 3, 2017 at First United Methodist Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home, Broken Arrow. Friends may visit the funeral home on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family there to receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Betty passed away in Broken Arrow on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the age of 70. Betty was born on January 5, 1947 in Leonard, Oklahoma to Herbert and Inez (Wroten) Hampton. Betty attended Bixby High School. She married the love of her life, Jerry Waymire, on August 19, 1963. Betty was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved being a homemaker and substitute teacher. Spending time with family was most important to her. Betty was a true BA Tiger fan. She loved watching and supporting Jerry as a Broken Arrow basketball coach. She also enjoyed cheering on her grandchildren through their many sports and school activities. She looked forward to going out to eat and playing cards with family and friends. Betty was also a woman of faith and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Youth Department, 112 E. College St., Broken Arrow, OK 74012.
