Betty L. Jennings

Funeral services for Betty L. Line Jennings will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family there to greet visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Betty passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 92 years of age. Betty was born on March 12, 1924 near Vern Station in Tulsa County, Oklahoma to Clyde Judson and Ethel Laura (Sorenson) Coleman. She was the fourth child of twelve children born to Clyde and Ethel Coleman. Betty graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1941. She was employed at the Downtown Tulsa Tag Agency for three years and Midwest Chevrolet for seven years. Betty and her husband, Clarence R. Line, owned and operated Martin Electric Company for 13 years. Betty married Clarence R. Line on October 7, 1946 at University Baptist Church in Tulsa. Betty was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved caring for her family and was devoted to them. After Clarence’s passing in 1983, Betty met and married Chester D. Jennings on February 14, 1987 at First Baptist Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. After Chester’s passing in 1997, Betty moved to Silver Arrow Estates Retirement Home in Broken Arrow and lived there until July, 2009 when she moved to Rosenberg, Texas to live with her daughter and son-in-law. Betty is survived by her daughter Cindy Raffensperger and her husband, Tom Raffensperger of Rosenberg, TX, grandson Chris Raffensperger of New Orleans, LA, granddaughter Valerie Ellington and her husband, Ian Ellington of Farmington, NM and granddaughter, Jackie Bresler and her husband Brian Bressler of Corpus Christi, TX. Betty is also survived by son, Chuck (Charlie) Line and his wife, Debby Line of Pryor, OK, granddaughters Amanda Rice and husband Todd of Pryor, OK, Megan Moseley and her husband Dustin of Claremore, OK, Mindy Beavers and her husband Landon of Pryor, OK and Ashley Line of Tulsa, OK and grandsons Seth Line and his wife Jenny Line of Claremore, OK and Zachary Line of Pryor, OK. Betty is survived by great-grandchildren Ethan Ellington, Olivia Ellington, Braedon Bresler, Benton Bresler, Bryson Bresler, Addison Rice, Brooklyn Rice, Lexi Line, Lanie Line, Hayden Beaver, Blakely Beaver, Drake Moseley, Kameron Moseley and Parker Moseley. Also, survived by grandson Nick Line of Dallas, TX, daughter-in-law Terri Line Nappier of Granbury, TX, and great-granddaughters McKenna Burnett and Samantha Burnett and their parents Jerry and Teri Burnett. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, 11 brothers and sisters, husbands Clarence R. Line and Chester D. Jennings and first son, Robert F. Line.
