Barbara Jean "Babs" Tittle

A memorial service celebrating the life of Barbara J. Tittle will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. James Presbyterian Church, 11970 S. Elm St., Jenks, OK 74037. Friends may visit Hayhurst Funeral Home, 1660 S. Elm Place, Broken Arrow, OK 74012 on Thursday from 9:00 am – 9:00 p.m. with family receiving visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Barbara joined our Father in Heaven on Tuesday, February 9, 2016. She was 77 years of age. Born in Lenna, Oklahoma on April 7, 1938 to Lillie Lancaster Pearce and Ewell Lawrence, Barbara was reared and educated in Henryetta where she graduated from Henryetta High School in 1956. She later continued her education at Northeastern State University. Immediately after graduation Barbara began employment at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as a telephone operator in Tulsa. Barbara was also a hairdresser for many years in Tahlequah. In 1979 Barbara began employment with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections working at the Muskogee Community Corrections Center as an Administrative Programs Officer. She retired on March 29, 2008 after 29 years. On October 9, 1958 Barbara married the love of her life, Eddie Tittle. Their union was blessed with two children and endured 58 years. Barbara was a wonderful wife and mother. She loved caring for her family and did everything she could to make their lives happier. When Barbara’s grandchildren were born she said it was among the happiest times of her life. She cherished her grandchildren and loved to cook and can for them, they especially enjoyed her dill pickles. Barbara always gave her family her highest priority in her thoughts, time and love. Some of Barbara’s favorite pastimes included listening to music, dancing, cooking, canning and gardening. She loved her church family, helping others and believed there were angels all around us. Barbara is survived by, Husband, Eddie Tittle, Broken Arrow, OK Children, Eddie Tittle and wife Robyn, Glenpool, OK Sheila Tittle Dause, Muskogee, OK Granddaughters, Taylor Tittle Garrison, Leslie Dause Step-Grandchildren, Nick Manasco, Lora Yadon, Jenny Smith Great Grandson, Easton Garrison Half-Brothers, Eugene Pearce and wife Donna, Sapulpa, OK Danny Lawrence, Half-Sister, Judy Tribble, Walnut Ridge, AR Step-Sister, Loretta Winn, Tennesee Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.
