Alice Brown

A Public Viewing for Alice Brown will be held at Hayhurst Funeral Home on Sunday, April 26, from 3:00–5:00 PM. A private Funeral Service for the family of Alice has been scheduled for Monday, April 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM in the Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel. Alice was born on Thursday, December 22, 1932 in Palatine, Illinois the daughter of Burgess and Ruth (Sanford) Field. She passed from this life on Thursday, April 16, 2020. She was 87 years of age. Alice grew up in Illinois before moving with her family to Tulsa when she was still young. She played trombone in the band and graduated from Will Rogers High School, class of 1950, and also attended The University of Oklahoma. Alice was reborn into God's spiritual Kingdom at the age of 16 through the faith influence of a beloved Sunday School teacher and continued to grow and serve the Lord until her passing. Alice married Bob Lees in 1953 and to this union bore 4 children whom she was very proud of. She was a homemaker while the children were young, supporting them in their endeavors, and was a Den Mother when the boys were in Cub Scouts. The family spent many summers traveling to different parts of the country, making many fond memories. Alice returned to the workforce in 1973, as a Customer Account Representative in banking. She retired from Bank of Oklahoma in 2005. Alice transferred to Oklahoma City and married Kenneth Mullins in 1980, remaining there until his passing in 1995. Upon returning to Tulsa in 2005, Alice met and married Elliott Brown in 2006 and they enjoyed traveling to many parts of the world, including Israel, Egypt, Hungary, and many other countries. They especially enjoyed the beach and going on cruises. Alice’s hobbies included scrapbooking, singing in the church choir, her Senior Adult group at First Baptist Church, Broken Arrow, attending ORU basketball games, traveling, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Alice is survived by, Husband, Elliott Brown of Broken Arrow Son, Larry Lees of Pryor Son and Daughter-in-Law, Deril and Robbin Lees of Tulsa Daughter and Son-in-Law, Pamela and David Beck of Broken Arrow Son, Steven Lees of Pryor Step-Son and Daughter-in-Law, Ronald and Robin Brown of Muskogee Grandchildren: Alyssa and Derek Sanders; Kasey and Jake Jackson; D.J. and Linsey Lees, Cory and Casey Beck, Clint and Molly Lees; Ryan and Kateri Beck; Lauren and Sean Calnan; BreAnna Lees; Cole and Carol Weant Step-Grandchildren: Robert, Rebekah, and Renald Brown Great-Grandchildren, Wyatt, Charly and Rylee Sanders; Colin and Carter Jackson; Trey, EllaKate, Scarlett and Francie Lees; Evelyn Lees; Ethan, Finleigh and Everly Weant. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Lillian (Peach) Harmon, Virginia Campbell, Don Field and Bud Field.
