William E Newhouse Jr.

William “Bill” Erwin Newhouse, Jr. was born on Friday, March 23, 1951 in Shelby, Montana to William Erwin Newhouse, Sr. and Mary Lorann (Wells) Newhouse. Bill passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at the age of 66, after a brief but hard-fought battle with cancer. Born and raised in Montana, Bill graduated from Cut Bank High School and attended The University of Montana-Missoula. As early as middle school, Bill became involved in the family business operating a thriving cattle ranch, and then a highly successful wholesale distributorship with his father. Bill married Linda Schaefer, his true love, and their union was blessed with four children. Led by the Lord to leave Montana, Bill and his family relocated to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma where Bill began a successful insurance practice while also attending Rhema Bible College. Upon graduating from Rhema in 1982, Bill’s career path evolved, and he and Linda founded the Vineyard Financial Group in the mid 1990’s. They worked side by side daily and enjoyed the love of their friends and clients alike. The family will be celebrating Bill’s life privately as this time, but memorials may be made to the Sunday Session Missions at www.drkenstewart.com or to Len Mink Ministries at www.lenmink.com/Len_Mink_Ministries/Give.html Bill is survived by his wife Linda Newhouse; son Ben Newhouse and wife Jennifer, their children Brooke, Braden, Caleb and Grant; son Senator Joe Newhouse and wife Laura, their children Rose, Will, Claire, and Luke; son John Newhouse and his wife Dr. Cashel Newhouse, their daughters Ella and Alice; daughter Sarah Topolski and her husband Jon, and their daughters Whitney and Hollis; his sisters Lottie Ann Lohman, Dr. Stephanie Davis, Karen Kaus, and Lisa Dunning; sisters-in-law Dana Schaefer, Anne West, and Patricia Rikke; brothers-in-law Scott Schaefer, Mark Shaefer, and Paul Shaefer; and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents. Bill loved great food, traveling, spending time in the Word, and had a heart for missions. He was a wonderful husband, brother, father and grandfather. He adored his family and loved spending time with them. He will be missed by all who’ve known him.
