Ellie Ladusau

Eleanor Irene “Ellie” Ladusau was born in Smith Center, Kansas on Tuesday, June 3, 1947 one of three girls to Louis and Melda (Emme) Mann. She passed from this life on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at her home in Tulsa surrounded by her two loving sisters. Ellie always professed that she was Mama’s favorite, since she was the baby and everyone knew it was true. She was a 1965 graduate of Shawnee Mission West Hight School in Overland Park, Kansas. She also attended some college courses. She married Bill Ladusau in Lawton, OK on July 25, 1973. Ellie was highly organized and very particular and proudly admitted to ironing her bed sheets and dish towels. She worked as the Executive Assistant to the Bill Knight Auto Group for over 30 years. She was kind to all and selfless, always putting others ahead of herself. She described herself as fragile, but her sisters knew her to be quite strong fighting cancer, and both heart and lung disease. Ellie was a second mother to all her nieces and nephews and made a positive impact on many who were privileged to know her. Shopping was her favorite pastime when she was not working or spending time with family. She had lots of little wise sayings she shared with her nieces and nephews. Fashion was always important to her and she made sure her necklace and earrings fit the outfit to a tee! Ellie was a Christian and lived her faith in her everyday life. She attended Asbury Methodist and Boston Avenue Methodist Church.
